World Museum Project collaborated with Women of the World in the workshop "World Music Project" at Boston Children's Museum on Aug 10, 2014.

World Museum Project and Women of the World share a common goal of fostering friendship and peace through cross-cultural collaboration.  Both have been involved in creation of artistic expressions by collaboration between people with many different cultural backgrounds around the world.

In this workshop, we explored the power of music with many new ideas to evoke everyone's creativity and energy to be part of the fun and innovative music making activity!  This creative activity started in an intimate workshop space (first photo) and ended with a performance in a public space to share the music with many museum visitors as the audience (second photo).  We also used a Scratch project so that the participants can record original sounds and use them for music making in the workshop.

At the beginning of the workshop, we shared recordings contributed by many World Museum partners from around the world, as a music video edited by Rio Ito.

You can watch this video of the workshop and the performance, also edited by Rio Ito.

We look forward to collaborating again in a workshop/concert in Nagoya on March 23, 2015, as a part of the Japan tour of Women of the World!
